Many people say that workshop is the place to work but for me, workshop in the place just like my home because I spent most of the time working and most of the time resting there. I feel more comfortable at my workshop as compare to my home because workshop is the place where I pursue to my passion and try my level best to build the outclassed products and meet the demands of customers

Genuinely home is the place where people live but for me workshop is the place where I live, working there, enjoying there and feel relaxed. I have visited many channels on online regarding tiny houses where people live but for me this workshop is my tiny home where I live. Many people set a specific place at their home for workshop, for worship and for specific activities similarly I have set a specific portion of my home for workshop where I work and work by passion and love doing all DIY tasks. Leather work is amazing work because it keeps me busy and its a habit forming activity for me now. I recommend people to set a specific portion of home for daily habitual activities like, gaming, working, creating new things and innovating things. By category there are four types of leather. Full grain, top grain, bonded and corrected grain leather. By quality there are hundred types of leather. Vegetable-tanned, chrome sheet, texture, natural and many more. Also types different by skin. Most widely used are cowhide, crazy-horse, buffalos, pig skin, sheep skin, lamb skin, crocodile, alligator, stingray leather, stout and shark leather.

Selection and priorities differ from countries by availabilities, policies, legalities and easy access. Most of all cowhide and buffalos veg-tanned skin are used because of its stiffness, look, adore and long lasting qualities. These skins are used for tough surfaces like shoe soles and facelift, design and DIY art. These skin are molded into desired purpose by using water and other chemicals. Then final color are given for outclass look. Many professionals cut the skins into pieces of rolls for easy carry and use in daily work. Choice of leather depends on the product to be made. Right leather choice will show the results after the product is prepared. Most of the leather used for making products are cowhide veg-tanned leather. Professionals uses natural color sheets, while colorful sheets are used only for compensating the customer demands.

All products have different requirements regarding leather scrap gage. Choosing specific one will help to meet the desired results. These gages are measured in different meters like ounces, inches, cm, millimeters and kg etc. Depending on the product use, gages are used likewise. For example, for making belt gage are used of about 2.5 ounces,  2 ounces for straps and 1.5 for wallets. Similarly for shoes different sizes of double layer sheets are used.

Leather craft is very simple and amazing art. Making leather products from the beginning needs basic information about leather types, product making material, quality standards and certain tools from scrap to finish products. Today we talk about basic tools for making any kind of handmade leather products. 

For cutting, basic tool is knife, skiver, manual cutting pen, high carbon blade cutter and many more depending on the maker requirements and standards. Cutting vary from doing whole work to a little and that also depends on the owner budget and available tools, like if a person have big investment on machines he afford then cutting is a simple job. For example, a person have "Mighty Wonder" clicker-press die cutting machine with 'Pattern die cutter blades', then he/she will not go for knives and cutters. But if  a person have low budget then the worker will have to rely on current assets that are tools.

Moving ahead includes sanding the edges for avoiding edge mess. For that, skivers are used on a piece of mirror for skiving the edges. But again, if a person can afford a sanding machine then it makes the job more easy and time saving. It again depends on the owner, what is his or her objective of making brand a mutual one that includes all leather craft machines and tools or complete handmade tools till making a classical product. Now after sanding the edges, most important part is style and tactics a user opt for bonding all pieces for a complete product. Most professional uses one time bonding and chiseling the holes and sewing till finishing the products while few uses step to step binding and sewing. For Bonding purposes, leather white glue used or yellow cement bonds are used.

Now for sewing's, two alternate style needles with waxed threads are used either white color or the color combination threads are used. Finally the product's edges are trimmed off by edge skiving tool and the finisher is applied and wooden creaser is rubbed for outstanding results. Most important thing a customer needs is quality finishing. That's the whole process of making any kind of product using basic tools.
